My name is Sadie Van den Bogaerde and I am a second year student at the UW studying Marine Biology and minoring in Spanish language. I'm so glad to have been introduced to your music, and really appreciate you joining our class today! Here are my questions:
1. You have a wonderful way of weaving together different social themes in your music. Where do you draw your inspiration? From personal experience or things you see happening within your communities as a musician and as a woman of a multicultural background?
2. Have you found that the different people in your life- for example your family versus others artists you've worked with- have influenced your understanding of your heritage in different ways? Do you feel that developing a sense of cultural identity is an ongoing process?
