The Womxn Who Rock Archive and its mission of forming "affinities inside difference" is a perfect example of "differential consciousness" in action. WWR's structure emphasizes the importance of democratizing a movement in order to share everyone's voice, with the conference program stating: "we intend to create an open structure through which unexpected, transformative and even healing conversations might emerge. We look forward to engaging in rich dialogues and laying the foundation for new kinds of communities ("Notes on Women Who Rock..."). In other words, WWR is meant to be a learning experience, not just for the audience, but also for the organizers, in an effort to better understand the perspective and voice of the community as a whole. Every individual is different, but the ability to engage in open dialogue is what truly allows strong ties to be built within the feminist art movement. Lastly, the digital nature of the archive is a great equalizing feature that allows people of all different backgrounds to learn and interact with the movement.

Brainstorm #4 - Paul Druta
Chela Sandoval's concept of "dissident globalization" provides an alternative to the strict systems of categorization innate in neoliberalism and in many of the response movements to neoliberalism. Rather than emphasizing differences (in gender, ethnicity, etc), Sandoval's dissident globalization aims to bring people together through "coalition politics" ("Dissident Globalizations, Emancipatory Methods..." 20). Sandoval’s methodology of emancipation serves as a remedy to neoliberalism because it enables activists to develop an "interrelated hermeneutics of 'love'"("Dissident Globalizations, Emancipatory Methods…”" 27), which permits movements to transcend individual ideologies and instead work towards using tactical subjectivity in the fight to reshape the postmodern world. In other words, Sandoval's "dissident globalization" is a way of rethinking social movements to be truly democratizing and not fall into the same issues of hierarchy and categorization that neoliberalism represents.
