1 In the Teen Vouge article we learn that Ecuador's congress is "ranking 20th in women’s governmental leadership worldwide. The U.S. comes in at number 100." How could Ecuador's indigenous past play a role in this, how is their feminist history different than ours?
2. Why is action-based thinking important in social movements, how is it seen in Eduadors feminist movemtns and how does it play into the ranking of their congress?
3. “The point is to work on different issues simultaneously and with an analysis that goes beyond the uniform ‘we’re victims of rape culture’ and to a place of bodily autonomy, freedom of aesthetic expression, and having a critique about how we move in and take up public spaces" says Eli Vásquez in the Teen Vouge article. They same article then goes on to criticize "white feminism", without ever clearly stating whats wrong with it, from this quote however I was thinking that it has to do with the fact that white feminism is bad when it excludes POC, their voices and message, because it limits the aesthetics of who deserves rights and to take up space, because it is less of an issue for white woman
already(?). What do you guys think
