Live Post #1 - Olivia Brunner-Gaydos

As I have been listening to Ofelia Esparza and Rosanna talk about the different altars they have made for so many various reasons and various people,  I feel as if I am beginning to understand the true meaning and effort put into these altars. These women have made altars for social movements, for public figures, and also for their own ancestors and family. It is inspiring to see the work put into these altars and the research and meaning behind each altar they have made. The image below is one of the community altars Ofelia worked one. It is also comforting to hear how these altars have brought together their own family, as well as many other groups of people and communities.
