The amount of work that went into this ofrenda really is impressive. The remembrance and joy that can be sparked out of honoring someone's memory are exhibited through this ofrenda because of the references to nature and tasteful layout that demonstrates the importance of this person on their family. The goal is to celebrate their lives, and I've never seen such an elaborate ofrenda in the connection to nature and symbolism of the person's connection to the earth and their family through the fruit that came to bear as a result of this person's existence. While most of the colors are earth tones, the occasional vibrancy given from the fruit seems indicative of the feminist movement of operating without expectation of reward, and occasionally bursting out onto the scene through their gracious acts.
