In the Refinery29 video, a woman being interviewed explained
that by emphasizing environmental action and protection is adding to feminism.
How do you think these two topics come hand in hand?
How are indigenous values of the importance of our
relationships to the earth and each other seen in the feminist movements that
have accompanied the environmental movement in Ecuador and other parts of South
America? How do these values make the environmental and feminist movements stronger?
Why is the narrative of activism traditionally controlled by
men and why have women been overlooked? What makes the activism of women
crucial to furthering society and the world? Why are female voices so important
to listen to in order to enact change?
