Live Blog 1- Linda Barragan
Lulu Carpenter initiated the meeting by starting a blessing. This already was almost a ray of sunshine to the dark times we are going through as a society. I felt relaxed and actually followed what she was saying. The panelist also made sure to acknowledge what was happening in today's world by giving a moment of silence for the black lives that have been lost due to police brutality. These past few days have been very hard on me because I feel like the cries of black people are not being heard and I feel completely helpless to all of it. Again, I am just glad that the panelist did not ignore what was going on and made it a point to voice their condolences.
