Live Post 1, Grace Burchett

I thought this altar was particularly beautiful, and the intention behind the altar was also very interesting to me. Ofelia Esparza said that the altar designed to be "interactive in a way, with the colors and symbols of fire, earth, wind". In addition, Ofelia Esparza said that she always incorporates images of a few of her ancestors in all of her altars. I thought this was very special, because it creates an even more personal connection despite the fact that this altar was displayed publicly, and therefore connected with a large audience.
